Submit your favorite harvest photo featuring a deer or waterfowl legally harvested in North Carolina during the 2026 hunting season and receive a prize just for entering — plus the chance to win big as a first-, second-, or third-place winner!

FOUR DIVISIONS

First, second, and third place winners will be selected in each division.

Men’s Division — Ages 16 & Up
Women’s Division — Ages 16 & Up
Preteen/Teen Division — Ages 10–15
Youth Division — Ages 9 & Under

Please include the following information with your submission:

  • Name and Age at Time of Harvest
  • Division: Men’s, Women’s, Preteen/Teen, or Youth
  • Date of harvest
  • County of harvest
  • Method of harvest: Bow, Rifle, or Shotgun
  • Brand and model of firearm or bow used
  • Caliber or gauge, if applicable

WHAT WILL THE JUDGES LOOK FOR?

Our Bucks & Ducks Photo Contest is about more than the size of the harvest. We’re looking for photos that capture the experience, accomplishment, and spirit of North Carolina hunting.

Judges will consider the overall quality and presentation of the photo, the hunting achievement represented, sportsmanship, and how well the image reflects safe, responsible, respectful, and ethical hunting practices.

For our Preteen/Teen and Youth Divisions, special consideration will be given to the young hunter’s experience, enthusiasm, accomplishment, and appreciation for the outdoors. The goal is to celebrate young hunters’ participation in North Carolina’s hunting traditions.

CONTEST RULES

  • Eligible entries are limited to deer and waterfowl harvests.
  • The animal must have been legally harvested in North Carolina during the 2026 hunting season.
  • Limit one entry per person.
  • Men’s Division: Ages 16 and up.
  • Women’s Division: Ages 16 and up.
  • Preteen/Teen Division: Ages 10–15.
  • Youth Division: Ages 9 and under.
  • Participants must include their age at the time of harvest with their submission. Contest division will be determined by the participant’s age on the date of harvest.
  • Each entry must include a harvest photo and all requested information.
  • First, second, and third place winners will be selected in each division.
  • Specific prizes will vary by placement and division.
  • Participant T-shirts and hats are available for in-store pickup only.
